R.I.P. Dimebag

I cannot believe that Dimebag Darrell is dead. I mean, I wasn’t the biggest Pantera fan but the guy was a good guitar player. I’m not a huge metal fan but speed metal is closely related to the kind of music I like so it hits home pretty hard. I’ve been to many, many rock concerts and have never heard of anything like this happening before. I believe it’s truly an isolated incident and not characteristic of the metal scene. You really never know what one crazy guy is going to do. Pantera had a lot of fans so I’m sure this hits them pretty hard. It sounds like that cop who shot the murderer quite possibly saved additional lives. It’s good that the guy is dead now; at least he can’t hurt anyone else now. It’s amazing how violent and hurtful people can be; the guns just enable them to do even more damage.
