Orson: Week Six

Well, it’s been six weeks now since Orson was born. I think we’re settling in pretty well now; it’s hard to remember what we did before he came. I didn’t realize we had so much free time until it was all gone! Grandma took him for the day this past Saturday so Traci and I were able to catch up on some stuff for a change. This allowed me to make some DVDs of our home movies, to write a program to rename groups of pictures from my camera, and to update the site with new pictures of Orson. You can find these pictures in the “March, 2005″ album under “Orson”.

Speaking of Orson’s photo gallery, I’ve reorganized it a bit…again. This time it should be much simpler to follow. All photos will be grouped by month and year now with the most recent month first. This should allow everyone to see the most recent pictures first by placing them at the top of the first page.

As I said, I also got some home movies made into DVDs. I bought the new version of Pinnacle Studio (version 9) which allowed me to create DVDs, unlike my previous version of the software (version 7). So, in the end my DVD player liked the discs I bought and the software worked perfectly. Now I have my home movies on a DVD which is much simpler to store, back up, and view.

So, other than having very little time things are going pretty well. Orson is due for his circumcision on Thursday; he’s finally gotten big enough (in more ways than one). He’s been putting on weight like crazy and is now drinking four ounces of formula every three hours. Six weeks ago he was drinking a half ounce, if that puts it into perspective.
