Orson Gets a “Web Presence”

So, I did it; I bought Orson his own domain: OrsonJarrett.com. [This has now been replaced by a subdomain on the family website] I know, I know, it’s nerdy. I want to use it to keep my family and friends up to date on Orson’s progress and achievements,at least at first. After he gets older it can be a bonding opportunity with his dad; we can work together to build his very own website. He’ll be the envy of other little nerds when he tells them ‘I’ve got my own website’. Hell, he’ll even have his own e-mail address @orsonjarrett.com. How many other brats have that? At $8.00 a year per domain (Dynonames.com) it’s hard to find a reason not to do it. I set up a little page for the time being that just redirects back to his photo gallery and to my web page. Now that I finally have named virtual hosts working under Apache (which took about six hours of frustration to accomplish) I can host multiple websites …read more »
