Keyless Entry Rules!

I just got the keyless entry and alarm system installed and it rules! I love being able to push a button and get into my car. When I start the car up the doors lock and when I turn the ignition off the doors unlock, all automatically. I’m now 31 and I haven’t had keyless entry, power windows, cruise control or anything like that ever since I’ve been driving so this is a big deal for me. What are standard features to most people are luxuries to me.

Although I’m pleased with the new Kia Sorento overall I’m a little disappointed in one thing: it’s virtually impossible to find aftermarket wheels for it. The problem is that although the bolt pattern is fine the offset is weird. Now, I spoke with the guy at the local Firestone …read more »

New Photo Gallery Unveiled

I finally finished the conversion of the old photo gallery to the new photo gallery. I liked the old gallery but this one has a killer interface and loads of features. I hope everyone likes it. I have transferred all the old pictures to the new gallery now but the …read more »

Working around Internet Explorer

I’m not going to apologize for bashing IE but I won’t have to do it quite so much now that I’ve begun coding in php. Now I can check the browser you’re using and feed you html …read more »

Tabbed Browsing in IE? Say It Isn’t So!

Well, well, well. It looks as if Microsoft has decided to finally move into the year 2001 and offer tabbed browsing, something Firefox, Mozilla, Opera, and others have been doing …read more »

Maybe I Was a Little Upset

Maybe I was a little too strong in my criticism of using Internet Explorer. I was in the middle of a frustrating battle with IE and I’d had enough. I’m still mad, actually. Still, I suggest …read more »

The Forum Has Launched

Since I’m a nerd and I like playing around with webservers, I decided to try installing Phorum. [Phorum was replaced by phpBB.] Phorum is a message board system written in PHP that allows for threaded, two-way discussions among users. I wondered how much I would actually use something of this nature on a site like mine; after all, I already have a guestbook. Really though that is geared more toward users communicating with me in a public forum. Phorum, on the other hand, is …read more »

The “Lost” Pictures of Orson

I was videotaping Orson’s bath tonight and ended up taking some still shots with the video camera. When I downloaded the pics I found four photos from March 6 of Orson. I’ve included those in the Photo Gallery.

The other cool thing is that I actually got several good pictures of Orson smiling …read more »

Internet Explorer Sucks

Now that I’ve been trying to code CSS for both Internet Explorer and Firefox I now understand fully why Firefox is so much better than IE. IE is a piece of shit that Microsoft has no intention of fixing because 90% of the population uses it. Another example of monopolistic software quality decline. I finally decided after spending hours trying to work around bugs in the way Explorer handles CSS that it wasn’t worth …read more »
