The Forum Has Launched

Since I’m a nerd and I like playing around with webservers, I decided to try installing Phorum. [Phorum was replaced by phpBB.] Phorum is a message board system written in PHP that allows for threaded, two-way discussions among users. I wondered how much I would actually use something of this nature on a site like mine; after all, I already have a guestbook. Really though that is geared more toward users communicating with me in a public forum. Phorum, on the other hand, is geared more towared users communicating with each other, using my website as the medium.
So I now proudly unveil the BrianJarrett.com Forum. As a first application for the forum I thought it would be a good way to allow members of my family to communicate with each other, as we spread out and begin to lose contact. It could be used, for example, to coordinate something like the Jarrett family reunion, to make announcements, to discuss Jarrett family genealogy (family tree), to remember old times, or simply to talk about subjects of any nature. The choice is yours.
So, please feel free to post to the forum. If you have any questions or problems posting feel free to contact me . Have fun.
