A Little “Droopy”

A couple weeks ago we noticed that Abner’s lip was a little droopy on the right side of his face. At first we thought he’d been stung by a bee in the back yard so we let it go. Then a couple days ago we noticed that his right eye seemed to be behaving abnormally. So, we took him to the vet and he had the same suspicion that Traci and I did; it appears that Abner had a small stroke.
Luckily though he’s perfectly fine in all other regards. He’s playing, running, barking, eating, and licking his paws as if nothing happened. We wouldn’t even have known if it hadn’t been for the lip and the eye; that’s how normal he’s behaving. The vet said that sometimes dogs can even come back from something like this; we’re just going to have to wait and see. I figure a droopy lip and a lazy eye is minor compared to how bad it could have been. Now’s he’s just a bit funnier-looking than he was before.
FACT: Saddam Hussein was not found hiding in a "hole." Saddam was roundhouse-kicked in the head by Chuck Norris in Kansas, which sent him through the earth, stopping just short of the surface of Iraq.
