You Can’t Stop the Rock!!!

We just bought tickets to see Chevelle (again) at the Pageant. I’ve already seen them 3 times this year (and three times before that in previous years) but I can’t seem to see them enough. We first heard of them back in 1999, I believe. We saw their video for Mia and then we attempted to see them at a very small club in Huntington that summer. This was a small bar called the Stoned Monkey, just down from Marshall University. Actually, I played there once with my old band, Flood, back in the summer of 1995; then it was called Players. Unfortunately they played earlier than usual and we arrived for the last song (which, ironically, was Mia). Then we attempted to see them again in 2000 in Cincinnati, OH but they played early there and we missed them again.
But finally we got to see them in Huntington, this time at a much larger venue. We saw them again in Columbia, MO at the Blue Note during the winter of 2003 and at Ozzfest that same year. I’ve actually seen Chevelle six times, breaking my record of seeing Quicksand three times back in 1995.

So Traci’s mom is going to take Baby Orson that night while Traci and I are busy keeping the dream alive! Yeah baby!!!!
