Under Contract

We were offered a contract on our house this past Sunday. Our house was on the market for only one week so it went faster than any of us imagined. It is a nice house and we really did a lot of work on it so I guess it’s not too surprising. The couple who put the contract on it are so young; it makes me feel old. 
So basically now we’re going through inspections, assessments, and the nightmare of paperwork involved in buying and selling houses. Luckily it seems the buyers are reasonable so it hopefully won’t be a painful process. I hope not because we’re going to be living right down the street from them!
It’ll be weird seeing somebody in our house but after we all sign the papers it’ll be their house. I’m kinda sad to see it go but they seem like they’ll take good care of it. Plus we’re going to be moving into a really nice house so it’s not so bad.
So now we wait and go through paperwork, phone calls, and headaches. I can’t wait until this is all over and we’re in the new house; maybe then things can get back to normal!
