    Excellent point Matt and a good article. I was also confused at the use of the term “hoax device”. These things were never meant to be interpreted as bombs. A hoax is pretending something is what it isn’t. This was a freakin’ Atari-style cartoon character giving us the middle finger! Terrorists aren’t that clever. Besides, if they really were bombs they would have blown up long before three weeks and the police missed that entirely. Ridiculous.
