Free Forums

While in Chicago I ran across a really cool service on the Internet. phpBB3now.com offers free, ad-free forums for the making. They use phpBB’s top-notch software for their forums and they also offer the phpbb3 portal, all integrated and ready to go. Setup is really simple; they walk you through all the steps and essentially do all the work for you. You provide the topic for your forum and in a matter of minutes it’s done.

I originally setup my DSSForum on the phpbb3now servers but I ultimately decided to move it in house; I already had the infrastructure and the experience so it made more sense to keep it in house. While there my experience with phpbb3 now was great; the servers were reliable and fast.

So if you’ve been wanting to create an ad-free discussion forum for free then phpbb3now.com would be a good place to start. Now getting a forum started is easy; the hard part is attracting and keeping members.
