Orson Was Accepted

Good news; Orson was accepted to Stix, the St. Louis City magnet school. We put him on the list some months back and he was initially rejected, probably due to age (they take four and five year olds before three year olds). About two weeks after that we received a notice saying he had been accepted. He starts this coming fall. And, now that he’s in his brother is in as well. The magnet schools are crucial to us staying in St. Louis city; if they don’t work out then we’re moving. We’re not paying for private school and there’s no way I’d send him to Catholic school or the regular city public schools.
