I couldn’t have gotten this site up and running without the help of many other people and organizations. This page gives me an opportunity to say thanks.

Fedora Linux
This server runs on Fedora Linux.

Apache
This site is served to you by the world famous Apache webserver.

WordPress
This is what you see when you come to this site. I can’t express enough how much I love it. It’s turned out to much more than simple blogging software. I’d also like to thank the authors of the many plugins I use with Wordpress.

Postfix
The Postfix mail server. Used to handle all mail for all my sites.

Coppermine Photo Gallery
I use Coppermine Photo Gallery to bring you all the pictures of me and my family.

Roundcube Webmail
Roundcube is still beta but is highly functional. There are only a few minor bugs that I’ve encountered but it’s still missing filters. Since I filter with procmail now it doesn’t matter so I started using it full time around the end of 2007. The interface is killer, by the way.

phpBB
I use phpBB for my family forum, this site’s forum, and for my DSS/Data Warehousing forum. Written in PHP and backended by MySQL. Quite possibly the most full-featured forum software available. I love it.

MySQL
MySQL is a feature rich, powerful, free, open source database. I use it for my personal database applications and it also serves as the backend for the guestbook, blog, photo gallery and forum. It’s cross-platform and comes with some very cool administrative and query tools as well. You can download it for free from the MySQL site.

BlueRobot.com
This is where I got part of the CSS code for the old brianjarrett.com and the old thejarrett family.org. If you’re new to CSS (like I was) his CSS layouts are simple and easy to adapt to your own liking. I use Wordpress for all my sites now but his code helped me understand how css works.

glish.com
This is the other site that I pulled CSS examples from. Basically I took design ideas from both BlueRobot.com and Glish.com, merged them, then added my own touches.

Tim Stefanski
Tim was instrumental in helping me understand how to get this site online so long ago. He also runs a Fantasy Football website.

Dynonames
Affordable domain name registration and DNS. I use them for all my domains.

Mark James
For creating and providing for free most of the icons used in my Elegy Wordpress theme.

Traci, Orson, and Trent
I also want to thank my wife, Traci, and my sons, Orson and Trent, for giving me so much to be happy about. They contribute to everything I do, every day, often without even knowing it.

The Family
