Mullets & Dirtlegs

Over the years I’ve captured several mullets on camera, in their natural habitat. I’ve also had an opportunity to photograph their cousin, the dirtleg hoosier. Both of these species can often be found living in trailers, working at McDonald’s, and beating up their wives and kids. Capturing them on camera can sometimes be dangerous because mullets have been known to attack photographers attempting to document their existence.

Putting aside my own personal safety I’ve captured several of these creatures on camera and have placed the images here for your viewing pleasure. A few of these images were submitted by others (and are noted).

Now, before you call me an elitist or insensitive to these bi-level creatures, keep in mind that I lived for seventeen years in a trailer, in West Virginia, and had a mullet of my own during seventh grade. The difference is that I don’t do any of those things now that I’ve grown up. Below is a picture of me, circa 1987, for proof:

Mullet Heads

Pretty sweet, huh? I guess it takes one to know one.

Below I’ve included thumbnails that link back to my photo gallery. Peruse these and build your self confidence in the process.
