I was contacted recently by Bo Vance, former guitar player for Dead Ant Farm of the Nitro music scene some years back.  He provided me with some additional information on some of the bands, plus some bands that I either didn’t know about or had forgotten about.  Check out the Bands of the Scene section for more.

I was going through some of my old photos today and ran across this one of Brian Dills and me at the Marshall University “Rally for Education”. I’ve added some more stuff to the Nitro Music Scene section of the site. I added an issue of the Cornzine (a local ‘zine produced by Dana White, now available online) from September, 1995 in the News Articles section of the site. The issue is located at the bottom of the existing articles. Included in this issue are articles about the scene, some pictures of some of my old friends within the scene and even a couple pictures of me.

I just added another Flood show to the site. This is one with Carl Lucas on vocals from September 23, 1994. This is the last Flood video I’m going to post on the site; I have two others but they’re not really worthy of being on the web. These three are the best out of the five I have.

I’ve been hard at work on completing my Nitro Music Scene portion of the site. This past weekend I added the rest of of my Nitro Scene History, completing that area of the site. I also added another live show from April 21, 1995 and I added some newspaper articles focusing on the local music scene at the time.

We just bought tickets to see Chevelle (again) at the Pageant. I’ve already seen them 3 times this year (and three times before that in previous years) but I can’t seem to see them enough. We first heard of them back in 1999, I believe. We saw their video for Mia and then we attempted to see them at a very small club in Huntington that summer. This was a small bar called the Stoned Monkey, just down from Marshall University. Actually, I played there once with my old band, Flood, back in the summer of 1995; then it was called Players.
